CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO
August 5, 1985
The City Council Meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7 30 P m
Councilmembers present Kent Davis, Tony Flasco, Larry Merkl, Moe
Keller, Nancy Snow, Randy West, and Dan Wilde Also present City
Clerk, Wanda Sang; City Administrator, Tom Palmer; City Attorney, John
Hayes; Public Works Director, Rodger Young; staff; and interested
citizens
Item 1
Award of Bids for Local Streets Program
Motion by Mr Flasco that the contract for the Local Street Improvements
Project be awarded to Flatiron Paving Company in the amount of their bid
of $343,908 10 plus a 10% contingency of $34,391 90 and that the
Director of Public Works be authorized to sign all change orders All
costs to be charged to Account #31-303-840 I further move a force
account of $50,000 00 be approved for this project with costs charged to
Account #31-303-840
It will be necessary to transfer funds of $95,600 00 from Account
#31-303-838 to Account #31-303-840; therefore, I move such a transfer of
funds be approved to cover the costs of this project; seconded by Mr
Davis; carried 7-0
Item 2
Motion to approve a Special Events Permit for Wheat Ridge
Kiwanis Club to serve beer at the Wheat Ridge Carnation
Festival
Motion by Mr Wilde to postpone this item until August 12, 1985;
seconded by Mr Flasco; carried 7-0
Regular Meeting adjourned at 7 38 p m
