Adjournment WHEAT RIDGE HOUSING AUTHORITY MINUTES September 16, 2008 A. CALL MEETING TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Brungardt at 4:02 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the Wheat Ridge Municipal Building, 7500 W. 291h Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. B. ROLL CALL Authority members present: Cheryl Brungardt Kent Davis' ` Kathy Nuanes Lena Rotola 7anice Thompson Others present: Sally Payne, Executive Director Larry Nelson, Cornerstone Realty Betty Maybin, Cornerstone Realty Alan Feinstein, Jeffco Housing Authority Henry Wehrdt, Construction Manager Ann Lazzeri; Recording Secretary C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - August 26, 2008 It was moved by Kent Davis'and seconded by Kathy Nuanes to approve the minutes of August 26, 2008. The motion passed unanimously. D. OFFICERS REPORTS There were no reports. E. PUBLIC FORUM There was no one present to address the Authority. F. NEW BUSINESS 1. Parfet Street Condos Update Larry Nelson reported that 3884 Parfet has closed. There are two good l. prospects on the 3894 Parfet unit. Housing Authority Minutes - 1- September 16, 2008 2. Allison Court Update Larry Nelson reported that Allison Court is just about complete. Suggested sales prices are $229,900 with a 2-car garage and $219,900 without a garage. Depending upon their debt, people with incomes under $40,000 would be able to qualify for these units,. 3. Update on Special Project Sally Payne reported that there has been no response from the school district regarding the counter offer. She will contacf them in order to have information available at the next Housing Authority meeting. G. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was no unfinished business to come before the Authorify♦ H. OTHER Chair Brungardt reported that meetings are taking place to discuss the replacement of administrative duties previously perfonned by Jeffco Housing Authority. Kent Davis asked if an RFP would be issued to find a replacement Chair Brungardt stated that while it is'not necessary to issue an RFP for the administrative duties, everything will be checked out regarding conflicts of interest, workers coinpensation insurance and other details. Kent Davis stated that he believed it was absolutely necessary to issue an RFP when selecting soineone to perform the contractor's duties. • On behalf of the Housing Authority, Chair Brungardt presented a gift to Henry Wehrdt in appreciation far his past efforts on behalf of the Wheat Ridge Housing Authority. Alan Feinstein commented that it has been a pleasure to work with the Housing Authority and expressed pride in the projects that have been completed;'however, he simply does not have the staff to handle the present wark load at Jefferson County and to assist the Wheat Ridge Housing Authority. He stated that he and Henry would still be available to answer any questions that may come up far the Authority. Larry Nelson commented that the Housing Authority projects could not have been accomplished in the manner they were without the help of Henry Wehrdt and the Jeffco Housing Authority. Their work went beyond the scope of the intergovernmental agreement. Housing Authority Minutes - 2- September 16, 2008 r Henry Wehrdt stated that he enjoyed working with the Housing Authority and complimented the Authority on the excellent products they have made available to people with targeted incomes. 1. ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Kathy Nuanes and seconded by Kent Davis to adjourn the meeting at 4:26 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
