Effective December 1, 2.014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) requires an approved inspection
prior to installation of ANY roof coverings and is require on the entire roof when spaced
or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding A% -inch exists. Asphalt shingles are required to
be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is
required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturera€'"s installation
instructions, whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of
elastomeric or similar type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the
manufacturer's technical representative stating that "the application of the roof at
(project address) has been applied in accordance with the installation instruction for
(roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final
inspection.

Contractor's Limited Warranty
Hometown Roofing & Exteriors, LLCstates that the labor portion of installing a
new shingle roof is warranted for a period of five (5) years from the date of
installation. Flat roofs and low pitch application are warranted for a period of
one (1) year unless otherwise noted on the original contract. There is no
warranty for a layover roof, no exceptions. Hometown Roofing & Exteriors,
LLCwill not be responsible for any repairs to the roof or surrounding areas
performed by another contractor. Hometown Roofing & Exteriors, LLCmust be
notified within three (3) days of any leaks covered by this warranty. Failure to
notify roofing leaks or pending work, within this time, may void this warranty.
Lien Release Notice
Lien Releases will only be provided once you have paid the full contract price
including supplements.

This contract may be rescinded within 72 hours and obtain a full refund of any
deposit within 72 hours after receiving notice from their insurer that the claim
is denied in whole or part. The contractor shall hold in trust any money given
to them until materials are delivered or has performed the majority of the
work. The contractor above cannot offer to waive or pay the insurance
deductible. If contract is cancelled after the 72 hour period and materials are
delivered there will be a fee of 10% of the material cost charged
to the client. If work is done they shall be only charged for that work.

Residential Roofing Permit Application
This application is exclusively for new permits for residential roofs and for licensed
contractors only. This type of permit is ONLY being processed online --do not come
to City Hall to submit an application in person. Permits are processed and issued in
the order they are received. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN YOUR PERMIT
IS READY FOR PICK-UP AND WILL BE GIVEN A SPECIFIC DATE AND TIME
WINDOW TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. You will be notified if your
contractor's license or insurance has expired, and you may update those
documents at the time you are issued your permit. Permits are currently being

For all other requests:
Homeowners wishing to obtain a roofing permit must apply for the permit in person
at City Hall. Revisions to existing permits (for example, to add redecking) must be
completed in person at City Hall. All other non -roofing permits must be completed in
person at City Hall. The Building Division will be open from 7:30-10:30 a.m.,
Monday through Friday to process these types of requests.

lines. If you don't know where they are, call
the Public Service Utility Notification Center of
Colorado, 1-800-922-1987. They will come out
and locate lines for you. Remember to ask them
about the cost.

have to be relocated and it is best to know this
before you start construction.

This permit was issued in accordance with the provisions set forth in yopur application and is subject to the laws of the State of Colorado and to the Zoning
Regulations and Building Code of Wheat Ridge, Colorado or any other applicable ordinances of the City.
This permit shall expire If (A) the work authorized is not commenced within sixty (60) days from issue date or {B} the building authorized is suspended or
abandoned fOf a period of 120 days.
If this permit expires, a new ,permit may be acquired for a fee of one-half the amount normally required, provided no changes have been or will be made in the
original plans and specifications and any suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one (1) year. If changes are made or if suspension or abandonment
exceeds one (1) year, full fees shall be paid for a new permit.
No work of any manner shall be done that will change the natural flow of water causing a drainage problem.
