I am in receipt of your request for information concerning the above listed permit numbers forwarded via
facsimile to our office today.
We were contacted by your client, Candlelight Heating and Air, concerning the above project, and a verbal
request was made by your client to have the completed work inspected at the rough stages and the permits
terminated. Your client was informed that the rough stage work could be inspected and approved, but that the
work was required to be permitted by the City of Wheat Ridge until such time that the work reaches completion
and passes final inspections required by the 2003 International Residential Code, or that a Stop Work notice
would be required to be posted upon termination of the permits. Your client was further informed that to
terminate the permits prior to completion of the work and eliminate their involvement in the projects, a formal
written request for termination stating that your client was no longer associated with the work would be required.
That written request for cancellation has not been received:
On June 8, 2009, at the request of your client, rough inspections were conducted on each of the above listed
permits, and the work was approved pending resolution of the permit termination request. No formal request has
been made and your client remains the permit holder of record and the permits remain in force.
To resolve this matter and terminate the permits, a formal request for termination of the permits at the rough
stages of the project is required. This letter should suffice as your notice of approval of the required rough
inspections for all three of the listed permits. Please feel free to contact me should have additional questions or

3539 Benton Street - Fire
I responded with Kirk Cadotte, Combination Inspector, to a call regarding a house fire at
3539 Benton Street at 10: 16 AM. Several photographs were taken of the exterior of the
building while firefighters continued putting out the fire in the attic space. From the
exterior front yard you could see visible signs of smoke damage and broken windows.
I was able to post the building with a "Dangerous Building" notice at 11:47 AM. Further
inspection of the inside revealed major damage to walls, ceilings, etc. Photos were
taken throughout the interior on the main floor, and around the exterior perimeter of the
structure.
An arson investigator, Dan with Wheat Ridge Fire, was onsite assessing the property,
and Wheat Ridge detective, Barry J. Malloy showed up to take some photos as well.

A woman named Collette Anderson showed up at the burned out house at 3539 Benton Street (Case # 2008-
6865) after all but one fire truck was left cleaning up. She said that she was the ex of the owner (they have a
child together) and was inquiring if anyone had been inside. She was informed that 2 individuals had been taken
by ambulance to the hospital. Her phone number is 303-403-4236. She said that the owner of the property is Till
Steininger. She gave me his phone number (303-248-5620). I told her I would pass Ihe numbers on to the
detectives covering the case.
Also, would you guys like me to forward all the pictures I have of the inside/outside of the property?
