Jim Goldner, who owns Mile High Restaurant on 44th and Wadsworth in the Time Square Shopping Center. Yir. Goldner bought his kitchen equipment from us. He asked us to do the electrical hookup but we refused because he did not want to get permits, (he said the city would mess with him). He then did his own electrical work and burnt out the kitchen equipment. In turn he wanted us to pay to fix the equipment. To date, Mr. Goldner has summons us to court on February 27, 1991 at 6:30 p.m. We would greatly appreciate a letter confirming the electrical work wrongly done by Mr. Goldner. Thank you in advance. BOX 638 TELEPHONE: 303/237-6944 ThB Clfy Ol 7500 WEST 29TH AVENUE • WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO 80033 cWheat GRidge January 15, 1991 Mile High Restaurant 4240 Wadsworth Boulevard Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 Dear Sirs: Upon receipt o£ a complaint against the Mile High Restaurant for building code violations, an inspection was undertaken by the Fire inspector, Kurt Larson and the City's Building Inspector, John Eckert. After this inspection it was decided that the Building Code violations were grave enough to warrant the operations of this establishment be discontinued until such time that the following code violations be corrected: 1. Repair and seal the natural gas line. 2. Repair the exposed wire in the ceiling. 3. Remove the wire going through the ceiling. 4. Support new conduit in the ceiling correctiy. 5. Close all open junction boxes. 6. Repair broken conduits. 7. Correctly vent the pizza ovens. 8. Install auto shut OFF on the electric d~ep fat fryer. 9. Correctly align Ansil systems for correct appliance lay out. 10. Remove wires going through the walls. 11. Remove wires going through or under all doorways. Mile High Restaurant i "The Carnation City" Page 2 12. install a gas stop on the lower pizza oven within 3 feet. 13. The dishwasher disconnect must be readily accessible. 14. Electrical panel must have clear access of 3 feet in front of it. 15. Gas piping in the upper pizza oven is leaking. 16. Dishwasher must have a gas stop within 3 feet of the appliance. 17. Ground and secure service disconnect on the food cooler. 18. All electricai work is to be completed by a Licensed Electrician with all required permits obtained by the Electrician. 19. All plumbing work is to be completed by a Licensed Plumber with all required permits obtained by the Plumber. Only when the corrections are complete and have passed both Huilding Department and Fire Department inspections will the condemnation order be li£ted.
