Subject: Observation of Underdrain for House with a basement and crawlspace at
Lot 64,4PINAe` Cambridge Park, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Dear Mr. Hobbs:
As scheduled, we arrived at Lot 64 on February 2, 1998 to observe the
underdrain installation. At the time of our visit the underdrain had been installed on
the exterior of the lower level and within the crawlspace. The exterior drain had been
backfilled and we were only able to observe approximately 15 to 20 feet of the
installation within the crawlspace area. The perforated underdrain visible within the
crawlspace was surrounded with gravel, the drain and gravel was underlain with a
plastic membrane and was overlain with geofabric. A sump was located in the
northeast corner of the lower level and was about 31 inches deep. The invert of the
pipe entering the sump was about 134 inches below the top oY the foundation wa1L At
the time of our observation there was approximately 9 inches of water present in the
sump.
The small portion of the drain that was visible appeared to be installed
substantially in accordanc with our recommendations.
