Conditions:
Work shall comply with 2006 IRC & 2005 NEC. Per IRC Sec. R313, smoke detectors
are required to be installed in every sleeping room, in hallways outside of
sleeping rooms, and on every level of the structure. Carbon Monoxide detectors
are required to be installed within fifteen(15) feet outside the entrance to

1. This permit was issued based on the information provided in the permit application and accompanying plans and
specifications and is subject to the compliance with those documents, and all applicable statutes, ordinances,
regulations, policies and procedures.
2. This permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must
be made in writing and received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180 days made be granted
at the discretion of the Chief Building Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one- half of the original permit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to
the standard requirements, fees and procedures for approval of any new permit. Re- issuance or extension of expired
permits is at the sole discretion of the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.
4. No work of any manner shall be performed that shall results in a change of the natural flow of water without prior .

5. The permit holder shall notify the Building and Inspection Services Division in accordance with established policy
of all required inspections and shall not proceed or conceal work without written approval of such work from the
Building and Inspection Services Division.
6. The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of

Wood:
A. All wood construction shall be in conformance with the
provisiona of "The Notionol Design Specification for
Stress Grode Lumber and its Fostenings.'
8. Wood roof trusses shall be designed by o registered
professional engineer licensed to proctice in the State
of Colorodo. Calculated live lood deflections of trussea
shall not exceed 1/240 of the span length. Shop drowinga
and calculations bearing the seal and signoture of the
deaign engineer shall be submitted for the review of the
structural engineer. These shop drawings shall show the
locations of all trusaes, connection plate size ond
capocity and the size and grade of lumber to be used.
Shop Drawing review by the structural engineer sholl be
completed prior to truss fabrication. Truss monufacturer
shall provide blocktng ot bearing locattons and bridgtng
as required for trusa atability.
Masonry.
A. Concrete block walls shall have a minimum ultimote design
strength Pm of 1500 psi. Concrete masonry units aholl
conform to ASTM C90 Grade N made with lightweight
aggregatea. Mortor shall conform to ASTM C270 Type S.
Grout shall conform to AS1M C476 with a minimum
compressiHe strength of 3,000 psi in 28 days.
B. Verticai reinforcement shall conform to ASTM A615 Grade
60. Horizontal joint reinforcing shall be stondord
weight "Dur-O-WoI" at 16" o.c. maximum. Provide
prefabricoted corner and tee sections at wall corners and
intersectfons.
C. °rovide cleanouts at the bottom of grouted celis ond use
high-lift grouting procedurea where poasible. Mechanicol
vibrators shall be used to consolidate grout ond
reconsolidate grout 15 minutes ofter the initial
consofldatton.
Foundotions:
A. The structure aholl be founded on spread footings ploced
on undisturbed notural soils or compocted fill with a
maximum ailowable bearing pressure of 1000 psf.
B. Refer to soil report #1-12774-00, dated 07-09-93, prepared
by GTG-Fox, Wheotridge, Colorodo for other pertinent soils
informotion. The contractor shall be fully familior with
all aspecta of the soil report before beginning
construction.
C. Bottom of footings shall be a minimum of 36" below flnish grode.
Fteid Observations:
A. The controctor shall inform the Structural Engineer at
leost 48 hours prior to casting ony concrete so as to
allow the Structural Engineer the opportunfty to review
the plocement of reinforcement ond embedments.
B. Contoct Neujohr & Gorman, Inc. 1-303-377-2732.
Coordination:
A. All dimensions on structural drawings shall be checked
aqainst architectural drowings and any discrepancies
shall be brought to the attention of the architect
immediately. Refer to mechonical, electrical cnd
architecturol drawings for openings not shown on
structural drawings.
B. Shop drawings shall be prepored by the fabricotor.
Copying of these conatruction documents for use as ahop
drowings will not be permitted.
