FOR ROOF PITCH 6/12 AND OVER: Midroof & Final Roof inspections for ROOFS with 6/12 PITCH &
OVER REQUIRE A 3RD PARTY INSPECTION. The 3rd party inspection report must be dropped off to
the Permit Desk at the City of Wheat Ridge. The report MUST BE SIGNED by the Homeowner.
REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with Building Division Policy
BD -18-001 for Balanced Ventilation Systems, or manufacturer installation instructions,
whichever is more stringent.
MIDROOF & SHEATHING: Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an
approved mid -roof inspection, conducted when 25-750 of the roof covering is installed,
prior to final approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the
entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists.
Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the
sheathing must be complete and 25-750 of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are
required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and
water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required.
LADDER MUST BE SET FOR ALL ROOF INSPECTIONS: A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections.
COMMERCIAL ROOFS: In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar type roof
coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical
representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been
applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof
covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection.

5. The permit holder shall notify the Building and Inspection Services Division in accordance with established policy of all requ�ired

6. The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, anviolation of any provision of any

As requested, site visits were performed on May 3, June 2, 3, & 8, 2016 at the above address to observe the site,
underlying foundation soils, and reinforcing for concrete footings and walls for the new foundation components.
On June 2, the exposed soils were determined too soft for supporting the new foundation. On June 3, the soils were
observed re -compacted and suitable for placement of the concrete for the foundation footings. The reinforcing for the
concrete footings was also observed in general compliance with the plans and specifications for this project. On
June 8, the reinforcing for the concrete foundation walls was observed in general compliance with the plans and
specifications for this project.
We trust this letter meets the requirements for the City of Wheat Ridge Building Department. Please do not
hesitate to contact us if you need additional information on this matter.

3R Services hereby requests to be removed from permit #201600670, a general permit for an addition at 4600 Vance St.
All rough inspections have been passed, and the final inspections are pending installation of door landings (to be
completed by others). 3R Services is experiencing payment issues with the owner, and this, among some basic civility
issues has caused the project has become a hostile workplace - primarily caused by the owner's rep. and the owner. I
can no longer send my subcontractors over there in good faith that a professional and constructive work environment
will exist.
We have been in business since 2000, and this project is the first one where I feel that it is necessary to make a request
such as this. We take pride in finishing our projects successfully, but it can't be done in this instance.
Please let me know if this is possible.
