been issued pending completion of 9" rip-rap (grouted) pad
placed at the area of pipe intersecti
on at Tabor St.
The conditions (weather, ground condition, etc.) have been such that completion has not been
possible. Our landscaper has been in constant contact with Greg Knudson, City Engineer, and
has been keeping him aware of the situation.
We foresee that the work could be completed by January 30, 1998 and would like to request
the extension until this date. If you need any more information, please contact me at 573-5678
x 108.

7We have reviewed the plans for this building using the 1994
Uniform Fire Code and have the following comments.
1. Site:
1. The address and unit number will need to be posted on
a temporary basis and permanently affixed to the building
in a minimum of 4 inch numbers.
UFC 94 901.4.4 Amended.
2. Exit Door:
1. The exit/entrance door if provided with a key locking
device shall be provided with a sign stating, "This Door
To Remain Unlocked During Business Hours".
UFC 94 12.107
3. Emergency Lighting:
1. Provide emergency lighting by night light or battery
pack units in the front and rear areas.
UFC 94 1211.
4. One Hour Fire Resistive Separation:
1. The one hour door will need to be an approved assembly
including door frame hardware and self-closer.
UFC 94. 1112.2.1
2. The one hour door shall be labeled "Fire Door po Not
Obstruct".
UFC 94 1112.2.3.

5. Storage of Materials:
1. The storage of materials other than flammable liquids
shall not exceed 12 feet in height. Contact the Fire
Marshal's for information on flammable liquids.
UFC 94 Article 81.
6. Fire Extinguisher's:
1. Two 4-A rated, 10-1b ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher's
will need to be provided and mounted not less than three
feet nor more than five feet from the floor to the top of
the mounting bracket at the main entrance and within the
warehouse area.
UFC 94 1002.1 Amended.
7. Electrical:
1. The occupant will need to be verify that sufficient
electrical receptacles are provided as extension cords and
multiple adapters are not permitted nor shall flexible
power cords pass through walls, ceilings or doorways.
UFC 94 8506.
2. if the warehouse area is used for the storage of motor
vehicles electrical receptacles will need to be placed
18 or more inches above the finished floor.

8. Paint Storage:
1. The storage of flammable liquids cannot exceed 30 gallons,
including fuels that would be stored within motor vehicles.

9. Carpeting:
1. if carpeting is installed, the carpet will need to be a
minimum of a Class II Critical Radiant Flux and the
documentation on the carpeting will need to be provided
prior to installation.
UFC 94 Appendix IV-A.
10. Additional Comments:
1. If rags are used within the unit, a metal can(s) with
lid(s) will need to be provided
2. Additional code requirements that arise from construction
will be addressed.
