Guardrail will be 42" high. • Handrail—will be 36" height welded to the guardrail going down one side of the stairs. The handrail will consist of 1 %" diameter schedule 40 tubing and have the ends return to tie into the guardrail to provide a continuous surface while descending the stairs. • Structure will consist of 4" x 4" x 1/8" thick square tubing for the posts to support the structure. • Frame of the landing will be constructed of C 5 channel and will provide a frame to weld perforated traction tread material that is galvanized and will be utilized for the floor and the stair treads. • Stringers will consist of 12" junior channel and have 2" x 3" x %" angle welded to the stringers to support the welding of the perforated traction treads to the stringers. • Perforated traction treads are 12" in depth from front to back and will be cut to size.
