former contractor and the insurance company. There does not seem to be any forecast on how or when this will end so

Mr. Vasquez,
On November 27th 2018 I conducted a site visit on the property at 3900 Hoyt Street to see if any progress has
been made, due to the fact that we do not have record of any inspections being called in as of the date of this
letter. I also observed that the site is no longer secure. The construction fencing is not completely closed off as it
was before. The jobsite is required to be secured while the construction crews are not onsite to prevent anyone
from entering and possibly injuring themselves.
When permit #201600458 for the addition was renewed on September 24th, a time line was presented to me and
agreed upon that you were to follow in order to have your permit completed by the time given for the extension.
The state of construction has not substantially changed from the previous visit I made on August 14th 2018, and it
is evident at this time that the time line is not being met.
This letter is to inform you that if substantial progress cannot be made towards the completion of your project,
the City of Wheat Ridge is prepared to start abatement proceedings as previously stated in my communications
with you. I would prefer not to have to go down is path, and prefer that you complete the project as agreed upon,
but may have no choice if construction does not begin again and inspections are scheduled.
Please contact me within 10 business days of receiving this letter and let me know what the immediate plans for
starting construction are and when you anticipate progress will be made.

In order to pass a final inspection on commercial elastomeric or similar type roofing, a
letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical representative stating
that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been applied in accordance with
the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to
be on site at the time of final inspection.
Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof
when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and
Mid -roof inspections may be called in at the same time, 100 percent of the sheathing must
be complete and 25-75 percent of the midroof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required
to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. A ladder extending 3
feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof
inspections. Roof ventilation is required to comply with applicable codes and/or
manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent.
