The purpose of this letter is to provide a structural ion for electrical penetrations through roof joists for the newly run service in the building. served the building on June 22, 2021 noting that at the west side of the main room in the electrical mechanical storage room (3) 1/z' steel cable electrical lines have been run into the roof space and agh several of the existing roof joists. At one location all three of the cables penetrate the 2x6 joist wing more than 50% of the total depth of the member. The cables then disperse out and penetrate tional roof joists in an acceptable pattern and location. All penetration holes are neat and clean and 1 to accommodate the electrical cables being used and holes are not oversized. on my observations of penetrations, installation of the electrical steel cabling and analysis of the and capacity of the roof joists, it is my opinion that the penetration through the roof joists have compromised the load carrying capacity of the roof joists, even with the multiple holes drilled ly adjacent to one another. However, to ensure that the failure of this single joist does not lead to ;ressive collapse I recommend that a Simpson strap benailed to bottom of the exposed joist. If upon inspection by WeatherBond, the Membrane shows premature deterioration because of weathering within the designated warranty period stated herein, WeatherBond's liability and Buyer's remedies are limited at VVeatherBond's option to the providing of repair material for the original Membrane or the granting of credit to be applied towards the purchase of a new Membrane. The value of these remedies shall not exceed the original Membrane purchase price. To validate this warranty, the registration information must be completed by the Buyer and mailed to WeatherBond within thirty (30) days after the date of sale. Buyer shall give WeatherBond notice of a claim under this warranty within thirty (30) days of discovering any premature deterioration of the membrane. Any claim under this warranty must be made in writing and must include a sample of the membrane for evaluation and response at the Buyer's expense. Flashings, adhesives and any other accessories contained in a membrane system are not covered by this or any other warranty, express or implied. WeatherBond shall not be responsible for the cleanliness or discoloration of the membrane material caused by environmental conditions including, but not limited to, dirt, pollutants or biological agents. WeatherBond shall have no liability under any theory of law for any claims, repairs, restoration, or other damages including, but not limited to, consequential or incidental damages, relating directly or indirectly, to the presence of any irritants, contaminants, vapors, fumes, molds, fungi, bacteria, spores, mycotoxins, or the like in the building or in the air, land or water serving the building.
