The plans are approved with the following specific and general requirements and conditions. Specific Comments and Reguirements 1. Fire extinguishers Travel distance to the fire extinguisher indicated on the second floor appears to exceed 75 -feet. Premise identification New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background. Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch. IFC Section 505 B. Portable fire extinguishers Fire extinguishers shall be installed where indicated on the approved plans. Fire extinguishers shall have a minimum rating of 2A I OBC (unless otherwise indicated). Fire extinguishers shall be mounted at a height of 3 to 5 feet above the finished floor measured to the top of the extinguisher. IFCSection 906 Portable fire extinguishers shall be located in conspicuous locations where they will be readily accessible and immediately available for use. In the event of power supply failure, secondary power supply shall automatically illuminate the means of egress. Failure of the final inspection may result in a re-inspection fee of $75.00 and then double the previous fee for even re-inspection issued thereafter. Due to limited staffing and other assignments please allow 48-hours to schedule inspections. Doing so will be helpful in scheduling your inspection when needed to complete your project on time.
