We feel that considering the existing conditions listed below, the foundation should support anticipated loads from the additional sign area. That said, we advise that this foundation will be at capacity and should not be amended to support signs with A greater area than shown above.. The height of the x sign should hot be increased at any -time either..... We visited the site and were able to drill a small hole into the side of one of the tubes. We measured the top of concrete within the tube at 8' -6 below grade. Estimating that the tube has V -6 of concrete at the bottom plus 1' -0 of concrete cover, we feel that the existing pier is drilled at least 11' -0 deep into grade. We were able to verify the HSS12x12 thickness when the hole was drilled. Design parameters: Wind load, V3s = 115 mph, Exp.
