Dear Mr. D'Amore, Upon inspection of the above referenced address, the attached building permit is being approved with the following conditions, 1. Fire alarm horn/strobes are to be reinstalled in all azeas of the business spaced per Arvada Fire District requirements. 2. All exit signs shall be fully functional and illuminated at all required exterior exit doors. Section 1003.2.8.2 of the Uniform Building Code states, "exit signs shall be [ocated as necessary to clearly indicate the direction of egress travel. No point shall be more than 100 jeet jrom the nearest visible sign" Due to the layout of product and furniture, relocation of furniture and hangings may be required to provide a clear unobstructed view of all exits. 3. Numerous electrical code violations were evident during the inspection of the property. See below: a. Extension cord use is not permitted. b. Numerous open electrical boxes and open splices. c. Improperly terminated electrical cables above ceiling. d. Improperly supported light fixtures being suspended from grid ceiling. Fixture cords cannot be wrapped around grid ceiling framing. Provide clips listed for the weight of the fixture being suppoRed and provide outlets in ceiling area to provide power for lighting fixtures. 4. All exit doors shall be clear of all obstructions (furniture and accessories) to a width of not less than 48-inches as you approach the exit door. All exterior doors on the south side of the buildine are required exits and three doors on the north side of the buildine are required exits. These doors are to remain unlocked during business hours or may be provided with pamc hardware. These corrections will be required to be completed, inspected and approved riu or to occupancy or use of the new area proposed with this permit.
