REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with IBC Sec. 1203.2 or IRC Sec. R806. The installation of ridge venting requires the installation or existence of soffit venting. For calculation purposes, one hat or turtle vent equal to one-half of one square foot of opening. Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent. Customer agrees to reasonably assist Company in communicating with insurance carrier to reach agreement on cost and scope of repair. Customer will be responsible for the costs of any requested upgrades or work outside the scope of the claim. 2. All customers and projects are subject to a credit check. 3. Payment shall be made upon the following terms: Balance due upon completion of work, not to exceed 10 days, payable to Powers Construction at 191 University Blvd #334, Denver, CO 80206. If work is of such nature that it will exceed one calendar month, partial payment shall be made on the tenth (10`of each calendar month, based on the work completed and material on the job of last day of the preceding months evidenced by our statement. Payment is not contingent on delays due to building inspections or concerns not immediately within the companies control. 4. Should the customer default on this contract by failure to make payment in the manner specified above, interest charges shall be added from dure date at a rate of one and one-half percent (1 %%) per month, (18% PER ANNUM), with a minimum charge of $2.00 per month, and if placed in the hands of an attorney or collection agency for collection all attorney's fee and legal cost and filing fees shall be paid by the Customer. 5. Realignment of satellite dishes, solar panels, replacement of deteriorated decking, siding, fascia boards, roof jacks, ventilators, flashing, un -discovered layers or other materials, unless otherwise stated in this contract, are not included and will be charged as an extra on a time and material basis. Decking Overlay: $110.00 per Square. Decking Replacement: $35 per Sheet or current market value of plywood in addition to applicable labor charges if plywood is required in place of OSB. 6.
