**For trenchless sewer replacements - The contractor will verify proper slope of new sewer
piping in conformance with the IRC and IPC of 1/4 inch per foot unless otherwise allowed
specifically by the applicable code. The plumbing contractor will provide verification of
proper slope and drainage in writing as a condition of approval of the permitted work.**
Both the front and back of this permit are required to be posted on the job site at all

2. This.permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and
received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180, days made be granted at the discretion of the Chief Building
Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the original permit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to the standard
requirements, fees and��procedures for approval of any new permit. Re -issuance or extension of expired permits is at the sole discretion of
the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.

5. The permit holder shall notify the Building and Inspection Services Division in accordance with established policy of all requ�ired
inspections and shall not proceed or conceal work without written approval of such work from the Building and Inspection Services
Division.
6. The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, anviolation of any provision of any

This letter is in reference m your inspection aW comcfion notice for 4455 7~ephyr Streef.
Here are my finding.s:
1. Correction #1: "Service conductors shall be at least 12' above finished grade."
Afrer neseazohing. N.E.C. arlicle 230.24 (13) (C t) (C2) I can see that there can lre a
difference in inUeTpretation. However, I concluded, that since the service is less then 150
volts to ground and after reading the bluc commentaty and e.xa ininp the p,xhjbit 230.22,
in the N.E.C. handbook,i believe the clearance should be 10' from grade.
1 took the libcrry to call Crrant Hammett of the State Elecuica! Board, (303-894-2990) to
ask for an interprctation. He did agree witU 10', but added, that since the overhead ]ine is
nert an owncr owned line, but owned by the power supply wmpanY (Faccel Energy) il is
axot under loc:al jurisdiction or subject to the N.E.C. includ'vng anicle 230-24 (B) (1) ur
(2).
2. Correction #2: "1 /4" Sheathing required inside A box/enclosure (u3 main disconnect
ri1C3DS." _
ARer researching 1 could noi fnd anything to support this in the N.E.C_, article 33$. I
then ehecked article 314.17 (B) &(C) in the N.E.C. "B" does call for the I/4" but emly For
messenger supported wiring. ppen vviting on insulators ur kaob & tube. "C" calls foc the
1/4" on nan metallac sheathed cable, but that applies to non-metallic boxes.
3. Correction #3: "Low voltage ground required for tetephone%;able service."
I concur that I nc;ed to pmvide a ground for low voltage service. However, I contend, that
the grounding conductor running up the outside wall from the ground roci to the servic:e
disconnect serves thzs purpose. There is adequate siack and support for a low volcage
ground clamp_ Also, there is not another lug provided on the main disconneci to
accommodate annther conductor.
4. Corrections 94,5 and 6.
