TITL E: A RE SOL UTION AMENDING TH E FISCAL YEAR 20 12
GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO RE FLECT THE APPROVAL OF A
SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUN T
OF $92,800 TO WHEAT RIDGE 2020 FOR TH E PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING ASS ISTANCE W ITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF
THE 38TH AVENUE CORRIDOR PLAN
WH EREAS , the City Council adopted the 38 th Avenue Corridor Plan in October
2011 to establish a vision for 38t h Avenue so that it can be revitalized into an attractive
focal point for the community; and
W HE REAS, WR2020 supports the vision and goals of the City's Envision Wheat
Ridge Comprehensive Plan , Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy (NRS) and the 38th
Avenue Corridor Plan ; and
W HEREAS , the City Council recognizes the important role WR2020 plays in
community engagement, leverag i ng private and other public funds , and supporting
community and economic development; and
WHEREAS, implementation of the 38t h Avenue Co rridor Plan requires the
coordinated efforts of many rarties, including the City, Wheat Ridge 2020 , and property
and business owners on 381 Avenue ; and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Charter requires that amendments to the budget
be effected by the City Council adopting a resolution .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council o f t he Ci ty of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as f o llow s :
A. The City Council authorizes the supplemental budget appropriation to
WR2020 for the purpose of providing assistance with the implementation
of the 38th Avenue Corridor Plan .
B. The City Council authorizes the transfer of $92 ,800 from account number
30-610-700-724 in the Capital Investment Program Fund to account
number 01-105-700-721 in the General Fund and amendment of the 2012
Fiscal Year Budget accordingly.
