RESOLUTION NO. 50
Series of 2012
TITLE: A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECOMMENDATION OF
THE CULTURAL COMMISSION TO ACCEPT A BRONZE
FOX SCULPTURE DONATED BY THE ARTS COUNCIL OF
WHEAT RIDGE
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enhance the public spaces and provide
for a more aesthetic and humane environment in the City by acquiring works of art
which shall become the City 's public art collection ;
WHEREAS, the Arts Council of Wheat Ridge wishes to donate to the City a
commissioned bronze sculpture of a fox ; and
WHEREAS , the Arts Council also wishes to donate the mate rials and cost of
installation ; and
WHEREAS , the Cultural Commission is recommending acceptance of this
sculpture ;
WHEREAS, the Public Art Action Plan process requires approval and
acceptance of all public art ;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge , Colorado , as follows:
The C ity accepts the donation of the bronze fox sculpture as recommended by
the Cultural Commission and donated by the Arts Council of Wheat Ridge .
