or Cerveny called the Liquor Authority Meeting to order at 7 00 p m Councilmembers
present, Jerry DiTullio, Don Eafanti, Janelle Shaver, Ken Siler, Ralph Mancinelli, Lloyd
Donnelly and Teri Dalbec Claudia Worth was absent due to illness Also present; City
Clerk, Wanda Sang, City Manager, Robert Middaugh, City Attorney, Gerald Dahl; Chief of
Police, Jack Hurst; staff
LOCAL LIQUOR AUTHORITY MATTERS
1) Public Hearing on Application for a new Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License for "EL
MEXICANO PARILLA BAR" 4105 Wadsworth Blvd (Continued from February 17,
1998)
Chief Hurst presented further investigative findings and recommended approval of the Liquor
License for El Mexicano Parilla Bar
Mr Ramirez (Manager) will see that his sister attends the Liquor Training Session as soon as
possible since she will oversee the restaurant when Mr Ramirez is unavailable Mr Ramirez
will submit an application for all future Managers with the Liquor Authority
Mr DiTullio will abstain as he was not at the previous Liquor Authority Meeting
Motion by Mr Mancinelli for approval of the application for a new Hotel & Restaurant Liquor
License for Santiago Ramirez , Jr, dba "El Mexicano Parilla Restaurant", 4105 Wadsworth
Blvd , Wheat Ridge, Colorado, for the following reasons
1 All applications and fees required by statute have been filed and paid
2 Notice of hearing and posting of the premises have been accomplished according to
statutory requirements
3 The applicant is entitled to occupancy of the premises by virtue of a signed lease dated
August 28, 1997

4 The evidence adduced at the Public Hearing on March 16, 1998 established that the
desires of the residents of the neighborhood under consideration are for granting this
license, as evidenced by petitions bearing
48 signatures in favor of issuance
39 signatures in opposition, and
23 signatures evidencing no opinion and that issuance of this
license is consistent with the needs of the neighborhood under consideration, seconded by Mr
Siler, carried 4-2 with Mr DiTullio abstaining
2) To set a date for the Show Cause Hearing for "Vern's", 7605 West 44th Ave , Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, due to Alleged Violation(s).
Referenced Chief Hurst's letter dated March 2, 1998
Motion by Mr Siler that a Show Cause Hearing on the violation be set for May 18, 1998, at
7 00 p m for Vern's, 7605 West 44th Ave , Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033; seconded by Mr
Mancinelli, carried 7-0.
3) Special Events Permit for the Brothers Fast Motorcycle Club Inc at the DAV #22, 4901
Marshall Street, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 on April 19, 1998
Motion by Mrs. Shaver to post the DAV property for the Brothers Fast Motorcycle Club Inc
regarding Hearing date for the Special Events Permit; seconded by Mr DiTullio, carried 5-2.
Motion by Mrs. Shaver to set a Liquor Authority Hearing for a Special Events Permit for the
Brothers Fast Motorcycle Club on April 6, 1998, seconded by Mr DiTullio; carried 5-2.
Motion to adjourn, carried 7-0
