HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/11/1999WHEq T LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Municipal Building February 11, 1999 ORP The Liquor Authority Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wilde at 9.00 am Liquor Authority Members present: Dan Wilde, Harry Williams, Frank Sanzalone, Kent Davis, George Langdon, Rocco Gioso (arrived at 9 04 a m Judith DiCroce Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF January 14, 1999 Motion by Mr Williams for the approval of the Minutes of January 14, 1999, seconded by Mr Davis, carried 5-0 with Mrs DiCroce abstaining Item 1. Application for a Special Events Permit for The Brothers Fast Motorcycle Club, Inc , at the DAV facility at 4901 Marshall Street. Applicant, Chris Davidson, was present and explained that this event is held as a benefit for the Mt. St. Vincent's charity Motion by Mr Davis to approve the Special Events Permit for The Brothers Fast Motorcycle Club Inc., at the location of 4901 Marshall Street, Wheat Ridge, to dispense malt, vinous and spirituous liquor on April 11, 1999 (with April 18, 1999 as the rain date) from 12 05 p m to 5 30 p m at the DAV facility I further move to authorize the Liquor Authority Chair to sign the application for the Special Events Permit; seconded by Mr Wilde, carried 7-0 LIQUOR AUTHORITY MINUTES: February 11, 1999 Page - 2 - Item 2. Liquor Violation Notice at Pink Cadillac Saloon, 12100 West 44th Avenue Motion by Mr Williams to order a Show Cause Hearing for Pink Cadillac Saloon, 12100 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, regarding an alleged violation of Section 12-47-901 of the Colorado Liquor Code, and Section 11-54 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws and to hold the hearing on March 11, 1999 at 9.00 a m I further move that the City Attorney be directed to prepare the necessary paperwork for a show cause hearing, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 7-0 OTHER MATTERS Chairman Wilde reported that he had contacted the City Attorney regarding guidance as to what penalty to give for one, two, and three time violations, City Attorney is opposed to that since each case if different there shouldn't be a pre-disposed penalty Motion by Mr Gioso to cancel the February 25 meeting and post the cancellation unless we have some applications come in, seconded by Mr Williams, carried 7-0 Motion by Mr Gioso to adjourn, seconded by Mr Davis, carried 7-0 Meeting adjourned at 9 40 a m Christa Jones, Deput C ity Clerk APPROVED BY LIQUOR AUTHORITY ON MARCH 11, 1999 BY A VOTE OF 6 TO o _1l 1_~ I;L_.
