HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/27/2004LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MINUTES CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Municipal Building May 27, 2004 Vice Chair Robert Alldredge called the Liquor Authority Meeting to order at 9 00 a.m Liquor Authority Members present: Judith DiCroce, Anthony Davia, Robert Alldredge, Brenda Locricchio, Kent Davis and Lloyd Donnelly John Miks and Frank Sanzolone were absent. Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones Motion by Mr Davis for approval of the Minutes of March 25, 2004, seconded by Mr. Davia, carried 6-0. Item 1 Discussion and Motion regarding Temporary Liquor Permits Deputy Jones introduced Item 1 Deputy Jones explained why the City hasn't issued Temporary Permits in the past and explained why the Liquor Authority might want to reconsider the issuance of Temporary's at this time The main reason is due to the State's turn around time in issuing Liquor Licenses Questions from the Authority followed Motion by Mr Davis to authorize the Office of the City Clerk, effective immediately, to receive, review, and issue or otherwise act upon Temporary Liquor License Permits pursuant to and within the limitations of C R.S Section 12-47-303, and further moved that no application for temporary license be accepted by the Clerk's Office until all paperwork required for Transfer of Ownership have been filed and the applicants have been cleared by the Police Department and has had a previous favorable hearing before the Liquor Authority; seconded by Mr. Davia, carried 6-0 Item 2. Police Department's Notification Letters to Liquor Establishments A discussion was held on the procedure that is in place regarding the renewal of Liquor Licenses and how it relates to the notification letters sent by the Chief of Police which outline potential problem(s) at the Liquor Establishments Consensus to ask the Police Chief to attend the next Liquor Authority meeting either June 10 or June 24, 2004 to discuss the above mentioned notifications LIQUOR AUTHORITY MINUTES MAY 27, 2004 PAGE 2 Motion by Mr Davis to adjourn, seconded by Mrs Locricchio, carried 6-0.
