HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/14/2005MINUTES FOR LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY MEETING CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO 7500 West 29th Avenue, Municipal Building April 14, 2005 The Liquor Authority Meeting of April 14, 2005 was called to order by Vice Chairman Alldredge at 9 00 a m Liquor Authority Members present: Robert Alldredge, Frank Sanzalone, Kent Davis, Anthony Davia, Judith DiCroce, Lloyd Donnelly and Brenda Locricchio Chairman John Milks was absent. Also present: Deputy City Clerk, Christa Jones, City Clerk, Pam Anderson, Chief of Police, Dan Brennan APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF February 24, 2005 Motion by Mr Davis for the approval of the Minutes of February 24, 2005, seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 7-0 Chief Brennan introduced himself to the Liquor Authority He explained various plans for the Police Department, answered questions, and expressed his desire to work with the Liquor Authority Item 1. Election of Chair and Vice Chair Motion by Mr Sanzalone to appoint Robert Alldredge to be the Chair; seconded by Ms Locricchio, carried 6 in favor with Mr Alldredge abstaining Motion by Mrs Locricchio to appoint Anthony Davia to be Vice Chair; seconded by Mr Davis, carried 6-0 with Mr Davia abstaining Item 2. Motion regarding Notices of Alleged Liquor Code Violations Motion by Mr Davis that a Notice of Hearing and Order to Show Cause be prepared by the City Attorney and executed by the Chair and Deputy City Clerk and be issued to the owners of the cited establishments, based on allegations contained in the attached Notices of Alleged Liquor Code Violations The hearings for Longshots, Lakeside Liquors, and Vern's Liquors, are scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 9 00 a m The hearings for Red Garden Liquor Store, Happy Liquors, Valley Liquors, and Old Chicago are scheduled for Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 9 00 a m Seconded by Mr Sanzalone, carried 7-0 Motion by Mr Davis to hold a Study Session with the Chief of Police and the City Attorney on June 23, 2005, seconded by Mr Donnelly; carried 7-0 Consensus was that discussion items and questions for the Study Session will be brought in by Liquor Authority Members during the next several meetings Meeting adjourned at 9 50 a m Christa Jones, Deputy City Clerk APPROVED BY THE LIQUOR AUTHORITY ON April 28, 2005 By a vote of to c a Robert Alldredge, Liquor uthority Chair
