38th and Kipling Park Design Preliminary Plan
Based on the study session comments from the May 5 study session and the neighborhood
meeting on May 14, a preliminary fmal plan has been developed by the consultant, Carol Henry
from Design Concepts, for the master plan design of the future park site at 38th and Kipling.
This plan is based on the input received to date, which include the following meetings:
. Initial input meeting - Joint Study Session with City Council and Planning Commission
. Concept plan presentation - City Council Study Session
. Initial neighborhood input meeting
. Concept Plans presentation neighborhood meeting
. Initial Park and Recreation Commission input meeting
. Concept plans presentation meeting Park and Recreation Commission
The purpose of the study session meeting of May 19 will be to present the preliminary final plan
and receive input for minor changes as needed. This preliminary plan will then be presented to
the Parks and Recreation Commission and neighborhood.
Due to the short turnaround time between the May 5 study session when the concept plans were
presented and input was received and the May 19 study session presentation, the preliminary
plan will not be finalized until late Monday afternoon. Reduced copies of the plan will be
handed out at the meeting.
