The reports indicate that the special inspector from Cole Garner observed as the tendons were stressed using the following equipment: Ram No. PT Jack & Accessories #302 Gauge No. #302 McDaniels, 10,000 PSI, 4" Pump No. Enerpac, #302, S/N 1403 The equipment was last calibrated on May 15, 2020. The corresponding stressing gauge pressure is 5,460 pounds per square inch when applying 33 kips of tension to the tendon. A copy of the associated calibration curve was provided to our office for our records and review. Based on our review of the stressing records, calibration curve, PTI allowances of +/- 1/4" elongations for short tendons, and the knowledge of measurements taken to the nearest 1/8", it is our opinion that the tendons have been adequately stressed and can be burnt off to a distance of 3/4" inside the exterior surface of the concrete. Stressing pockets should be packed with grout as outlined in the contract documents. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact our office.
