ORDINANCE NO. 150
Series of 1974
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 138, SERIES OF 1973, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING GRADES FOR NEW PLANNING CLASSIFICATIONS
AND UPGRADING DISPATCHER GRADE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. Under Section 2, Ordinance No. 138, Series of 1973,
Grade 26, delete Current Planner.
Section 2. Under Section 2, Ordinance No. 138, Series of 1973,
Grade 30, add Planner I.
Section 3. Under Section 2, Ordinance No. 138, Series of 1973,
Grade 36, add Planner II.
Section 4. Under Section 2, Ordinance No. 138, Series of 1973,
Grade 15, delete Dispatchers.
Section 5. Under Section 2, Ordinance No. 138, Series of 1973,
Grade 20, add Dispatchers.
Section 6. Under Section 2, Ordinance 138, Series of 19731
insert Grade 32, $827 ($4.77 hour) Buyer II.
Section 7. Under Section 2, Grade 36, change Finance and
Purchasing Officer to Budget and Purchasing Officer.
Section 8. Emergency Clause. The provisions of this Ordinance
are necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety of
the citizens of Wheat Ridge for the following reasons.
1. Early identification and correction of the needs of Wheat
Ridge through an orderly planning process, especially those needs
involving public safety, is in the public interest.
2. Current Dispatcher pay grade does not fully reflect increased
responsibilities involving public health and safety.
Section 9. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in force five (5) days after publication following final passage
providing that it shall have been passed by an affirmative vote of
three-fourths (3/4) of the Members of the City Council, otherwise,
said Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after publication
following final passage.

first reading by a vote of 4 to 2 this 28th day of February,
