TITLE: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE ELECTED POSITIONS
OF MAYOR, MEMBER OF CITY COUNCIL, CITY CLERK, AND CITY
TREASURER OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE DURING THE TERM OF
OFFICE COM1MENCING NOVEMBER 9, 1981, AND ENDING NOVEMBER 14,
1983; REPEALING ORDINANCES 353, 354, 355, AND 356; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN AUTOMATIC REPEAL AND TERMINATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO:
1. Ordinances 353, 354, 355, and 356, previously enacted by
the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, are hereby
repealed.
2. During the term of elected office commencing November 9,
1981, and continuing through and including November 13, 1983, the
following specified elected officials within the City of Wheat Ridge
shall receive the annual salaries specified herein, payable in the
monthly installments provided herein:
A. The Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive an
annual salary of $6,000, payable in monthly installments of
$500.
B. Each member of the City Council shall receive, an
annual salary of $1,800, payable in monthly installments of
$150.
C. The City Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge shall receive
an annual salary of $18,600, payable in monthly installments of
$1,550.
D. The City Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ridge shall
receive an annual salary of $14,400, payable in monthly install-
ments of $1,200.
3. This Ordinance shall be effective November 9, 1981, and
shall be automatically repealed and shall cease to be effective on
November 14, 1983.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of 8
to 0 this 27th day of July , 1981; ordered published in
full in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge
and Public Hearing and consideration on final passage set for
August 10 , 1981, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., at Council Chambers,
7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final reading
by a vote of 7 to 1 this 10th day of August , 1981.
