TITLE:
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING SECTION 5-121 OF
CHAPTER 5, ARTICLE IV, OF THE CODE OF LAWS OF THE CITY
OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO, PERTAINING TO CONTRACTOR'S
LICENSE FEES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO:
Section 1. Section 5-121, of Chapter 5, Article IV, of the Code of
the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is hereby repealed and reenacted
as follows:
Section 5-121. Fees.
The annual license fee for contractors' licenses, under
the provisions of this article shall be paid in
accordance with the following table:
(1) Building Contractor Class 1--$125
(2) Building Contractor Class 11--$75
(3) Building Contractor Class 111--$75
(4) Building Contractor Class IV--$75
(5) Wrecking Contractor Class V--$75
(6) Plumbing Contractor Class VI--$75
(7) Steam and Hot Water Contractor Class VII--$75
(8) Heating and Ventilating Contractor Class VIII-$75
(9) Gas Service Contractor Class IX--$75
(10) Refrigeration Contractor Class X--$75
(11) Sign Contractor Class XI--$75
(12) Fire Protection Contractor Class XII--$75
(13) Lawn Sprinkler Contractor Class XIII--$75
(14) Electrical Signal Contractor Class XIV--$75
(15) Municipal Contractor Class A--$125
(16) Municipal Contractor Class B--$125
(17) Municipal Contractor Class C--$75
Section 2. Safety Clause. The City Council hereby finds,
determines, and declares that this ordinance is promulgated under
the general police power of the city of Wheat Ridge; that it is
promulgated for the health, safety and welfare of the public, and
that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of health and
safety and for the protection of public convenience and welfare.
The City Council further determines that the ordinance bears a
rational relation to these objectives.
Section 3. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or
part of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or
circumstances shall for any reason be adjudged by a court of
competent jurisdiction invalid, such judgment shall not affect
application to other persons or circumstances.
section 4. This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage
by the City Council.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of ~ to
~ on this 14th day of February, 1994; ordered published in full
in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge,
and Public Hearing and consideration on final passage set for
February 28, 1994, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. at Council Chambers, 7500
West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
