TITLE'
AN ORDINANCE CORRECTING A TYPOGRAPHICAL
ERROR IN SECTION 16-88 - MISSILES
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to correct a typographical error in the Wheat
Ridge Code of Laws
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO AS FOLLOWS.
Section 1. Section 16-88 of the Code is hereby amended and restated as follows:
16-88. Missiles. It is unlawful for any person to willfully,
maliciously or recklessly throw, shoot or project any stone, arrow,
pellet, dart, ball bearing, or other dangerous missile at or against
the person, animal, building, structure, personal property, fixture
or vehicle of another; except, that the provisions of the section
shall not apply to a person throwing, projecting or shooting any
such dangerous missile at any animal in order to project
PROTECT his person or property or the person or property of
another from physical injury.
Section 2. Safety Clause. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares that this
ordinance is promulgated under the police powers of the City of Wheat Ridge, that it is
promulgated for the health, safety, and welfare of the public and that this ordinance is
necessary for the preservation of health and safety and for the protection of public convenience
and welfare The City Council further determines that the ordinance bears a rational relation
to the proper legislative objective sought to be attained

Section 3. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or part of this ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstances shall for any reason be judged by a court of
competent jurisdiction invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the
remainder of this ordinance or its application to other persons or circumstances.
Section 4. Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage at second reading

circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge and Public Hearing and consideration on final passage
set for September 14, , 1998, at 7 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers, 7500 West
29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
