TITLE: AN ORDINANCE DISSOLVING THE WHEAT RIDGE SPECIAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1987-1.
WHEREAS, on December 28, 1987, by Ordinance 1987-742, the City
Council of the City of Wheat Ridge created a special improvement district for the
purpose of levying and collecting assessments from property specially benefited by
the construction of certain public improvements; and
WHEREAS, bonds in the amount of $1,250,000 were issued, secured by
such levy, for the purpose of financing said improvements, and
WHEREAS, the improvements have been constructed and the bonds fully
paid, and
WHEREAS, as a consequence the continued existence of the special
improvement district is no longer necessary.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO:
Section 1. Imorovement District Dissolved. Special Improvement District
No. 1987-1, created by Ordinance 1987- 742, is hereby dissolved, effective on the
date set forth below.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after
final publication, as provided by Section 5.11 of the Charter.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND ADOPTED on first reading by a vote of 8 to
o on this 14th day of September , 1998, ordered published in
full in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Wheat Ridge and Public
Hearing and consideration on final passage set for September 28 , 1998, at
7:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat
Ridge, Colorado.
READ, ADOPTED AND ORDERED PUBLISHED on second and final reading by
a vote of 7 to 0 ,this 28th day of September , 1998.
