RESOLUTION NO. 149
Series of 1971
WHEREAS, Albert E. Anderson, as Mayor of the City of
Wheat Ridge, State of Colorado, filed a lawsuit against the
City of Wheat Ridge, State of Colorado, and Louise F. Turner,
as City Clerk of the City of Wheat Ridge, James O. Malone, as
Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ri dge, and Ray C. Pepe, Joseph
M. Donaldson, Robert G. Howard, Calvin O. Hulsey, Dana L.
Bowling, and Jack W. Bramble, as Aldermen of the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge, and
WHEREAS, said lawsuit was filed in the District Court
in and for the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, and
WHEREAS, there may be a conflict of interest if Maurice
F. Fox, represents the City and its councilmen against the Mayor,
Albert E. Anderson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge,
State of Colorado, hereby appoint5George J. Strate, Attorney at
Law, tu represent the City of Wheat Ridge, State of Colorado, Louise
F. Turner, as City Clerk of the City of I-Jheat Ridge, James O. Malone,
as Treasurer of the City of Wheat Ridge, and Ray C. Pepe, Joseph
M. Donaldson, Robert G. Howard, Calvin O. Hulsey, Dana L.
boy/ling, and Jack vL Bramble, as Alderman of the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge, in that certain lawsuit, filed by Albert E.
Anderson, as Mayor of the City of Wheat Ridge, State of Colorado,
against the City of Wheat Ridge et al.
2. That the compensation to be paid to George J. Strate,
Attorney at Law, in the defense of the Defendants, in said above
described Civil Action, shall be at the rate of thirty-five dollars
($35.00) per hour.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, this 11th day of November
A.D. 1971, by a vote of 6 to 0
