WHEREAS, this action of the Public Utilities Commission has
been the source of much adverse reaction from the citizens of Wheat
Ridge; and
WHEREAS, the City Council discussed this matter at a meeting
November 24, 1975, and concluded that the itemization of this sur-

is discriminatory to the City; and

absorbed by Mountain Bell as a part of its normal operating costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge hereby protests the change in billing procedure
authorized by the Public Utilities Commission; and

the Public Utilities Commission to reverse its authorization of
October 30, 1975 to Mountain Bellon this matter and require Mountain
Bell to consider the municipal franchise tax as a part of its operating
cost as in the past, and to discontinue the separate designation of the
charge from its telephone service billings.
