RESOLUTION NO. 443
Series of 1976
RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $15,000 AS THE ESTIMATED CITY SHARE OF A
FEDERAL-AID PROJECT ON WEST 32nd AVENUE FROM YOUNGFIELD TO HOLLAND
STREET.
WHEREAS, the Colorado State Department of Highways, State of
Colorado, has approved the project for funding under Section 209 of
the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 73 PL93-87, Section 152, which author-
izes funds for projects on any Federal-Aid Highway System to eliminate
or reduce hazards at specific locations; and
WHEREAS, W. 32nd Avenue between Youngfield Street and
Holland Street is on the Federal-Aid Urban System and qualifies for
such funds; and
WHEREAS, the total project consists of preliminary engineering,
minor grading, structures, stablization, concrete curb and gutter, and
concrete sidewalk for an eight-foot (8') independent bike/pedestrian
pathway; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of this project is $150,000 which
will be shared 90% Federal-Aid funds and 10% local funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge that an estimated $15,000, representing the City's
10% matching contribution to this project be hereby approved and appro-
priated for this purpose to be charged against the Capital Improvement
Fund of the City to account 641.00 in the estimated amount of $5800 for
concrete sidewalks and related improvements and to account 640.00 in the
estimated amount of $8200 for bridge structure on W. 32nd Avenue and
Lena Gulch.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall disburse the esti-
mated local share of this project to the Colorado Department of Highways
upon proper billing by that agency, including City's share of the cost
for preliminary engineering, final design, construction supervision,
and other related costs of the project.
