Series of 1978
TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBl1ISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO DENVER
REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (DRCOG) FOR PARTIAL FUNDING THROUGH
1-470 TRANSFER FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF WEST 44TH AVENUE FROM
YOUNGFIELD TO WADSWORTH BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, DRCOG is soliciting applications for transportation projects
to be partially funded by 1-470 transfer funds, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to improve West 44th Avenue from Youngfield
to Wadsworth Boulevard and has projected local funds for this purpose in its
Five Year Capital Improvement program, and
WHEREAS, the City estimates the cost at $2,750,000 including engineering,
design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction cost which will require
Grant assistance to accomplish;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bV the City Council of the City of
Hheat Ridge that an application for 1-70 transfer funds be immediately prepared
and transmitted to Denver Regional Council of Governments for the improvement
of West 44th Avenue from Youngfield to Wadsworth Boulevard at a total estimated
cost for the project of $2,750,000, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby states its intention and
ability to provide the required local matching funds for this Grant if approved.
