TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RECEIPT AND OPTION CONTRACT (COMMERCIAL)
WITH FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF WHEAT RIDGE TO PURCHASE PROPERTY AT
W. 35TH AND MARSHALL FOR SENIOR CENTER FOR A TOTAL PRICE OF $291,000
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge has expressed
interest in acquiring a suitable facility for use as a Senior Center and
for other community center needs; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Center Study Committee recommended that the First
Baptist Church at W. 35th and Marshall Street be purchased for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor was authorized and directed to negotiate an acceptable
sale price with the Board of Directors of First Baptist Church and an agreement
has been reached.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge that the Mayor be authorized to sign a Receipt and Option Contract
(Commercial) dated June 11, 1980, with First Baptist Church of Wheat Ridge
to purchase said property and furnishings for a total price of $291,000.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 16th day of June, 1980, by a vote of 6 to
