TITLE: RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE WHEAT RIDGE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT,
ARVADA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AND FAIRMONT FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT AS EMERGENCY RESPONSE AUTHORITY FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIAL
INCIDENTS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE
WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 55, Hazardous Material Incidents Bill,
became effective July 1, 1980, and
WHEREAS, Section 29-22-102(3) of said Bill requires the governing
body of every city to designate, by ordinance or resolution, an emergency
response authority for hazardous material incidents occuring within the
corporate limits of a city; and
WHEREAS, there are three fire protection districts in the City of
Wheat Ridge, i.e. Arvada Fire Protection District, Wheat Ridge Fire Protection
District and Fairmont Fire Protection District that would be responsible for
areas within the City of Wheat Ridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge that the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District be designated as
the Emergency Response Authority for the City of Wheat Ridge for hazardous
material incidents occuring within their District of the City of Wheat Ridge;
that the Arvada Fire Protection District be designated as the Emergency Response
Authority for the City of Wheat Ridge for hazardous material incidents occuring
within their District of the City of Wheat Ridge; and that Fairmont Fire
Protection District be designated as the Emergency Response Authority for the
City of Wheat Ridge for hazardous material incidents occuring within their
District of the City of Wheat Ridge.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 22nd day of September, A.D. 1980, by a
vote of 8 to ---D-._'
