TITLE: A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A DANGEROUS BUILDING REPAIR AND DEMOLITION FUND
~fHEREAS, the City Co unc il has incorporated into the City Code the 1979
Edition of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, and
I~HEREAS, the adopted Code requires the estab1ish~ent of a revolving fund to
be designated as the repair and demolition fund. and
WHEREAS, there are currently a number of dangerous buildings that have
been located within the City of Wheat Ridge by the Chief Building Inspector; and
WHEREAS, the fund needs to be established prior to initiating the legal steps
which the Chief Bui1Jing Inspector must follow;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council instructs the City
Treasurer to establish a fund that. shall be called the "Dangerous Building Repair
and Demo1 ition Fund;" The City Administrator is hereby aut.horized to transfer
$6,500 from the Una110cated Reserve, Account No. 607-795, to the Bui1dino
Inspection Division - Ordinance Enforcement Account, Account No. 122-718; and the
City Administrator is also authorized to notify the City Treasurer that the total
of $10,000 of the 122-718 account will be transferred to establish the beoinnino
balance of the newly established Dangerous Building Repair and Demolition Fund.
