RESOLUTION NO. 1040
SERlES OF 1987
TITLE: RESOLUTION SUPPORTING JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE AD HOC
COMMITTEE REPORT
WHEREAS, at a January, 1986, meeting, elected officials
and County Commissioners of Jefferson County voiced their concerns
and issues of importance regarding the present Open Space program,
and what they believed should be considered in the future adminis-
tration uf the program; and
WHEREAS, on February 5, 1986, the Board of Counly
Commissioners of Jefferson County established an Ad Hoc Committee
to review the Open Space program and make recommendations to them
and the Open Space Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the appointments to the Open Space Ad Hoc
Cummittee were to assure input from representatives of the County,
municipalities, recreation and park districts, and also include
citizens at large; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Open Space Ad Hoc Committee
has presented its report to the public and to the Jefferson
County Commissioners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Cuuncil of the
City of Wheat Ridge, that the City of Wheat Ridge endorses and
approves the Jefferson County Open Space Ad Hoc Committee Report
and recommends its acceptance by the Jefferson County Cummissioners
and implementation of its recommendations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the City of
Wheat Ridge shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the
Jefferson County Commissioners, with copies sent to the Jefferson
County Open Space Ad Hoc Committee members and Jefferson County
Open Space officials.
