TITLE:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN
SPACE OFFICIALS TO SECURE PROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL ON
A PORTION OF THE WHEAT RIDGE LUMBER COMPANY PROPERTY
LOCATED ON WEST 44TH AVENUE, IN WHEAT RIDGE,
COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Lumber property, located in
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, consisting of one (1) acre, more or less,
has been offered for sale to the City of Wheat Ridge by the owner;
and
WHEREAS, this property is located in an area of
Wheat Ridge where the Parks and Open Space Plan recommends that
addjtional land be acquired; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to investigate the value
of this property under the Jefferson County Open Space program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has sufficient
funds in jts share of the Jefferson County Open Space fund tn
acquire this parcel of land; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Wheat Ridge, that the Jefferson County Open Space
officials be hereby authorized and requested to secure a
professional appraisal on the portion of the Wheat Ridge Lumber

fair market value, and be authorized to acquire this parcel of land
for parks and open space purposes.
