TITLE:
A RESOLUTION PURSUANT TO SECTION 14.2 OF THE WHEAT
RIDGE HOME RULE CHARTER APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGRE~MENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE AND JEFFERSON
COUNTY RELATING TO RESURFACING/REHABILITATING WEST 32ND
A.VENlJE BE'TWEEN KIPLING AND WADSWORTH, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN SAID INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Wheat Ridge and Jefferson County, acting
by and through their respective Public Works Departments, have
agreed upon a plan whereby West 32nd Avenue between Kipling and
Wadsworth Boulevards may be resurfaced/rehabilitated by
cooperative effort between the two entities;
WHEREAS the City and the County wish to set forth the terms
and conditions of their agreement in an Intergovernmental
Agreement:
WHEREAS Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of
Wheat Ridge provides that contracts or agreements with other
governmental unit3 are required to be approved by resolution or
ordinance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE 1''1' RESOLVED BY 'THE CI'T! COUNCIL OF 'THE
CI'l'Y OF WHEA'T RIDGE, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of
Wheat Ridge and Jefferson County, Colorado, which is attached
hereto, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute
said Agreement.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 24th day of August, 1987.
