RESOLUTIOr~ NO. 1066
TITLE: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF GRANT FUNDING FROM THE STATE OF COLORADO,
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAY SAFETY FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF A SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Division of Highway Safety has offered to provide grant fund-
ing for establishing a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program within the City of
Wheat Ridge Police Department for the fiscal year 1988; and,
WHEREAS. implementation of the S.T.E.P. program to reduce the numbers of
traffic accidents occurring within the City of Wheat Ridge is one of the priority
issues of the City; and.
WHEREAS. funds for the City's matching share of the program funding have
been allocated in the 1988 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE THAT,
The grant for the S.T.E.P. program is hereby accepted and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to sign all contract documents required by the Division of High-
way Safety to implement this program.
DONE MJD RESOLVED THIS 14 DAY OF DECEMBER, 1987.
