TITLE:
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
APPROVED BY THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE RESOLUTION 1463, ON
FEBRUARY 27, 1995, TO INCLUDE A PROVISION TO ALLOW
AMENDMENTS TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
ESTABLISHING ROONEY VALLEY LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING
FACILITY AND SHOOTING RANGE
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge is a participant in an
intergovernmental agreement with and among the County of Jefferson,
the cities of Lakewood, Arvada, Golden, the Colorado Division of
Wildlife, and Red Rocks Community College, and dated February 7,
1995, (hereinafter referred to as the "Parties"; and
WHEREAS, the parties to the Agreement have determined
that the Intergovernmental Agreement in its original form needs to
be amended to contain language allowing for amendments to the
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.2 of the Home Rule Charter of the
City of Wheat Ridge requires that all intergovernmental agreements
entered into by the City be approved by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
1. That certain Amendment to an Intergovernmental
Agreement for a Shooting Range and Training Facility for Law
Enforcement Personnel, which is attached hereto, is hereby
approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute
said Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement.

AN AMENDMENT TO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
FOR A SHOOTING RANGE AND TRAINING FACILITY
FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL
This Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement is made and entered mto by and
among the City of Lake wood, the County of Jefferson, the City of Arvada, the City of Wheat Ridge,
the City of Golden, the Colorado DivIsion of Wildlife, and Red Rocks Community College
(herem after referred to as the "Parties")
WHEREAS, an Intergovernmental Agreement for a Shootmg Range and Trammg Facility for
Law Enforcement Personnel (hereinafter "IGA"), located at the Rooney Valley Law Enforcement
Training Facility (herem after "Facility"), was entered mto, dated February 7, 1995, and
WHEREAS, the Facility Goverlllng Board wishes to have the Arvada Police Department
become a Party to the IGA, and
WHEREAS, m the origmal IGA there was no provIsIOn for amendmg the IGA or for addmg
additional entitles;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED by and among the Parties that:
1. The IGA is hereby amended by adding paragraphs 23 and 24 to read as follows
23 AMENDMENT. This Agreement represents the entire
agreement between the Parties and there are no oral or
collateral agreements or understandings This Agreement
may be amended only by an instrument in writing signed by
the Parties.
24. ADDITIONAL PARTIES. Upon mutual consent of the
Parties, additional entities may become Parties to this IGA.
2. Any previous amendment authorized by any Party to add Arvada as an
additional party to the IGA is hereby ratified, confirmed, and approved.
3 Except to the extent modified in this Amendment, all other terms and
conditions of the IGA shall remain in full force and effect.
