TITLF:: A RESOLllTlON AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
SIGN THE BASEBALL PARK AGREEMENT, THE BASF:BALL PARK
GRANT AGREEMENT, AND THE ESCROW AND DISBURSEMENT
AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRlJCTION OF THE KURT
MANWARING BASEBALL FIELD.
WHEREAS, The CIty Council of the CIty of Wheat RIdge desIres to construct the Kurt
Manwanng Baseball Field In conjunctIOn WIth the Jetferson County JunIor Baseball
lcaguc, thc Colorado RockIes Baseball Club, and the Sovereign Company, and,
W II ERL\S, The Jefferson County JUIllor Baseball League has been awarded a grant trom the
Robert R McCorllllck Trlbunc FoundatIon to construct the K1ll1 Manwanng
Baseball Field In Whcat RIdge 111 the amount of $48,()()() and,
WIIEREAS, The CIty CouncIl of the CIty of Wheat RIdge desIres to accept the grant of
$48,()()() ii'DIll the Robert R McCormIck Tribune Foundation to construct the Kllli
Mall\varlng Baseball Field in Wheat RIdge,
NOW, TIIERF:FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CIty CouncIl of the CllY of Wheat RIdge
that,
1) rhe CIlY Manager and City Attorney be authonzed to complete the Baseball Park
o\greement, t he Baseball Park Grant Agreement, and the Escrow and DIsbursement
Agreement
2) The Mavor and City Clerk be authonzcd to sign the Baseball Park Grant Agrccment
hetween the ('It v of Wheat Rldgc and Jefferson County JUIllor Baseball League
