A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2005 BUDGET
AND APPROVING THE UPGRADE OF THE TARGETVISION
BROADCAST SYSTEM TO THE SYMON BROADCAST SYSTEM
FOR THE OPERATION OF THE GOVERNMENT ACCESS
CHANNEL BULLETIN BOARD
WHEREAS, the CIty CouncIl recogmzes the need for a new bulletin board broadcast
system as part of It'S strategIc plan to maintam an open and transparent cIty government; and
WHEREAS, the use of PEG fees can only be utIlIzed for equipment needed for
operatmg the government access channels, and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Charter reqUIres that amendments to the budget be
effected by the CIty Council adoptmg a ResolutIOn.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The CIty Council authorizes the upgrade of the TargetVlslon broadcast system to
the Symon broadcast system includmg the purchase of three new lIcenses,
trammg, and purchase of a dIgItal appliance for multi-medIa broadcast
dIstributIOn.
S The CIty CouncIl authorIzes the transfer of $1 0,368 from the general fund
undeslgnated reserves to account 01-113-700-704 and amending the 2005 fiscal
year budget accordmgly
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 24th day of October 2005.
