TITLE:
RESOLUTION NO. 18-2006: A RESOLUTION AMENDING
THE FISCAL YEAR 2006 BUDGET TO REFLECT
ACCEPTANCE OF THE COLORADO AUTOMOBILE
THEFT PREVENTION AUTHORITY GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge applied for and was awarded a grant to
assist the Wheat Ridge Police Department in implementing its Parking Sticker Program
aimed at reducing auto theft and auto-related cnmes within partnering apartment
complexes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deSlfes to accept the grant in the amount of $6,000;
and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Charter reqUires that amendments to the budget be
effected by the City Council adopting a Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The City hereby accepts the grant.
B The City Manager is authonzed to execute all documents necessary for the
acceptance of the award.
C Upon receipt of the funds, that the funds be placed 1ll the general fund.
D The City of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2006 budget be amended accordingly,
specifically adding $6,000 into the Police Department expense account 01-
212-650-654
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 24th day of April 2006.
