that the Mayor be authorized to certify that the City wishes to proceed
with the Younbfield Bridge project, seconded by ~r Merkl, carried 7-1
with Mrs worth voting No
Item 9. Motion by Mr Flasco that the City a0cept the enclosed Quit
Claim-Deeds for right-of-way clarification on 12400 and 12410
h 44th Avenue and the amount of $10 00 for each deed be
charged to Account No 31-303-852, seconded by Mrs Worth,
carried 8-0
Item 10 Resolution referring to the Registered Electors of the City of
Wheat Ridge the question of the proposed enactment of an
Ordinance proviaing for the imposition of a three percent (3%)
tax upon sales made within the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Resolution 1030 was introdu0ed by Mr West, title read by the Clerk
Motion by Mr west for adoption of Resolution 1030, seconded by Mrs
Keller
Elise Brougham, 3355 Quay, read a letter from Wheat Ridge United
Neighborhoods into the record Louise Turner, 11256 W 38th Avenue,
spoke in opposition to Resolution
Mr Johnson will vote No, because he feels people are tired of being
taxed to death Mrs Worth will vote No, because she has a positive
outlook that business coming in will take care of the problelli hr
FIasco will vote No, because he doesn't feel tis is the proper time
