CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair DiTullio at 7:00 p.m., December 11, 2002, in the second floor conference room of the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. B. ROLL CALL Authority Members Present: Authority Members Absent: Cheryl Brungazdt Mazy Jo Cavarra Jeny DiTullio Kathryn Fulton Kent Davis Others Present: Alan White, Planning Director Larry Nelson, Cornerstone Realty Betty Maybin, Comerstone Realty Mazcie Emily, Property Manager Ann Lazzeri, Recording Secretary C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES It was moved by Mary Jo Cavarra and seconded by Cheryl Brungardt to approve the minutes of August 28, 2002. The motion passed unanimously. D. OFFICERS REPORTS There were no officer reports. E. PUBLIC FORUM There were none present to address the Authority. F. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was no unfinished business to come before the Authority. G. NEW BUSINESS 1. Adoption of 2003 Budeet - Alan White reviewed the proposed 2003 budget for the Housing Authority. It was moved by Kathryn Fulton and seconded by Mary Jo Cavarra to adopt the 2003 Housing Authority budget as presented. The motion passed 4-0. uthority Page 1 11, 2002 2. Approval of Eneagement Letter - 2002 Audit_ - Alan White presented an engagement letter with the audit firm of Swanhorst & Cutler to complete the audit for the Housing Authority. In addition to doing the City's audit, this firm audits the Jefferson County Housing Authority. It was moved by Cheryl Brungardt and seconded by Mary Jo Cavarra to approve the engagement letter with Swanhorst & Cutler to perform the 2002 audit for the Wheat Ridge Housing Authority. The motion passed 4-0. 3. Cancellation of December 25tn It was moved by Kathryn Fulton and seconded by Mary Jo Cavarra to cancel the December 25, 2002 Housing Authority meeting. The motion passed 4-0. H. OTHER ■ Jerry DiTullio introduced Marcie Emily who was selected to provide property management services for the Quail Squaze project. She will assume her duties after the tenth unit is closed which should happen on December 20, 2002: • A 12-unit property has become available for sale at 36"' and Eaton. Housing Authority members will tour this property some time in January. It was suggested that the Quail Squaze construction manager also be invited to go on the tour. • There was a consensus to have a meeting in January to analyze all aspects of the Quail Square project to determine what worked, what could be improved, etc. This would be helpful in future projects. ■ Alan White reported that the rental unit at the Richards Hart estate is vacant. 1.
