The approved plan that I have enclosed shows the driveway should have been built south of your new driveway. The City expects you reconstruct your driveway to conform to the approved plan and this would alleviate your 18 feet of unusable driveway and the need to back over the medians. Any damage to the medians due to backing over them will be your responsibility to fix. The medians were built prior to the construction of your garage. The newly poured driveway configuration would not have been approved given the location of the medians. Please note that the maximum width of a residential drive is 24 foot and the existing driveway on the property should be used to access your new garage as was approved in the plan you submitted to the City. The median, in front of your property, was requested by the neighborhood and was done in accordance with our Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP). We had several neighborhood meetings and approval by a majority of the residents along Teller Street before any of the existing speed humps and medians were built.
