Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) requires an approved inspection prior to installation of ANY roof coverings and is require on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent. 'The, post they extended 20-inches to the top of the 20-inch tall retaining wall. The top 6-feet of the fence was exposed to the wind. Based on the analysis of thefience it would need support from the retaining wall. The retaining wall was built with Pavestone Diamond Block, which did not appear to be adequate to support the fence load. To ensure the fence is self supporting a new posts set back approximately 2-feet from the existing posts should be installed. These posts should set in 18-inch diameter concrete piers that should extend 4-feet down from the top of the retaining wall.
