REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with IBC Sec. 1203.2 or IRC Sec. R806. The installation of ridge venting requires the installation or existence of soffit venting. For calculation purposes, one hat or turtle vent equal to one-half of one square foot of opening. Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent. WARRANTY IS NOT VALID UNTIL PAID IN FULL Collateral/Unforeseen Damages - Should property owner become aware of damage to said property by LCI, its subcontractors, agents or employees during the course of installation of any trade item, said damage should be immediately brought to the attention of LCI .If owner fails to notify LCI of said damage within 5 days of occurrence, owner shall waive all rights against contractor concerning said damage, LCI is not responsible for damage to driveways or sidewalks during delivery of materials or construction. Further, LCI is not responsible for ANY interior damage caused during construction. This includes but is not limited to nail pops or cracks in drywall, broken light fixtures, damaged personal property or any other interior damage that is a result of improper initial installation, deterioration or poor overall interior material quality. Payments more than 10 days past due shall bear interest at the rate of 10% per month or any portion thereof, from the due date until paid. Any construction project that operates near or around HVAC facilities should be dealt with extra care. Lallier Construction. Inc suggests a Licensed HVAC Technician inspect and certify that no Carbon Monoxide leak has occurred during the construction of your new roofing system. Contractor cannot and will not conduct these services for the customer and will not bill nor be responsible for the charges that are incurred by the customer. Contractor suggests that as a matter of consumer safety, customer purchase and install a Carbon Monoxide Detector in their home per Manufacturer Specifications. Lallier Construction, Inc shall not be held liable for any injury or death related to a Carbon Monoxide leak in the home due to work performed. Miscellaneous - In the event of default by Owner, or legal fees are incurred for the collection of any sums due under this contract, Owner shall be responsible for all attorneys' tees. costs and expenses of collection. RC may file a supplemental claim with owners insurer as a result of material or labor price increases due to market conditions or errorslomisswns in the initial Insurance scope of work. LCI shall have the right to assert a mechanics lien for any sums due for the improvements to the property but unpaid. Failure of this contractor to pay those person supplying material or services to complete this contract can result in the filing of a mechanics lien on the property which is the subject of this contract. To avoid this result, you may ask this contractor for 'Lien Waivers" from all persons supply material or services for the work described in this contract. Failure to secure lien waivers may result in you paying for all labor and materials. (� \ (� \
